If you don't own a dog, at least one, there is not necessarily anything wrong with you, but there may be something wrong with your life - Roger Caras
Ginger (1851)

** ADOPTION PENDING ** Ginger is sweet 3-4 yr old female basset, who likes to snuggle. She is very loving and loves attention from her humans. She is a small basset around 40lbs. She gets along with other dogs (not sure about cats) and can be feisty. She really enjoys going on walks and does very well on a leash. She loves meeting new people and does well with kids. Ginger had vaginitis when she came into the rescue. She would pee in the house and the bed a lot. The vet prescribed a chlorhexidine foam to help. Her foster parents have to clean her female parts with the foam and a cotton ball twice a day. That has helped and she hasn’t had an accident since they started on the cleaning procedure. This may be a long term thing that needs to be done everyday. Ginger is undergoing heartworm treatment currently. She should be medically cleared and READY FOR ADOPTION IN A COUPLE OF MONTHS. Ginger does have some separation anxiety, but she is getting used to being crated when her humans are out. She can be a chewer if you leave her alone. But, overall, she is a fantastic little girl who will melt your heart. If you are interested in Ginger, please fill out an Adoption Application.
