If you don't own a dog, at least one, there is not necessarily anything wrong with you, but there may be something wrong with your life - Roger Caras
Bobby (195)

Bobbie came to us as a puppy, very sick and with a very uncertain future. He was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus, a congenital defect of the Central Nervous System. Hydrocephalus causes fluids from the lymphatic system to collect in his head and around his brain because there is nowhere else for the fluid to drain. These congenital defects are known to be inherited or caused by environmental factors i.e. toxic plants, nutritional deficiencies, and viral infections. For many, the cause is unknown. The symptoms for Bobby are noticeable, he walks funny, his movements are sometimes uncoordinated, and he has tremors of his head and limbs. The pressure in his head causes the brain waves to trigger occasional dysfunction within the rest of his body. Despite his diagnosis Bobby lives a quality life, He is happy and knows he is loved and cared for. Without the constant care of his Foster Family and Suncoast Basset Rescue, Bobby likely would have passed away. Bobby is a tribute to the will and the resolve of these Hounds we take into care, it proves that every hound has the ability to lead a happy life despite the circumstances they have been dealt, when they are given the care they need and the love they deserve.
