If you don't own a dog, at least one, there is not necessarily anything wrong with you, but there may be something wrong with your life - Roger Caras
Laverne (1497) & Shirley (1498)

Laverne: We all remember the lovable duo of Laverne and Shirley and all the adversities they would overcome. Well meet Laverne, the first half of this bonded pair. Laverne is 10 years old and petite at 40 pounds. She is very shy around newcomers or loud people and prefers to be outside during the day and falls asleep on her coolaroo bed in the patio until she knows everyone is in bed. She will then come in the house thru the doggie door. Once she hears the other 4 leggers up and about she heads back out the doggie door. If you approach her she will run but eventually stop in her basset boots and let you pet her. As soon as you are done she runs away. Laverne also eats on the patio but won’t come to her bowl until you are out of sight. She loves the outdoors, sunning herself and laying in the shade under the hammock. Laverne enjoys walks on her leash. She’s a good eater and can use a doggie door! Laverne is not exactly housebroken as she spends most of her time outdoors. Laverne & Shirley are a bonded pair and will do best in a house without young children, only because of how timid Laverne is. Older children are no problem and when sitting quietly this duo will go to the children happily. As they both prefer the outdoors a fenced yard is best. Because they spend a lot of time on "Yard Patrol" they are known barkers. They get along well with other dogs and cats. Shirley: We all remember the lovable duo of Laverne and Shirley and all the adversities they would overcome. Well meet Shirley, the second half of this bonded pair. Shirley is 8 years old and petite at 40 pounds. Shirley recently had an eye removed due to glaucoma. Shirley is a little more outgoing and will warm up in a week or two. She is probably Laverne’s daughter or younger sister. She loves to hunt lizards and chase squirrels all day. Shirley is afraid of thunderstorms and loud noises. She is housebroken unless she gets scared from a storm. She’ll give kisses, loves belly rubs and hugs. She will bark to let you know somebody is at the door. She will curl up with Laverne at night to sleep or even during the day for naps. She requires a thunder shirt and a safe place for hiding during our daily storms here in Florida. She and Laverne will hide together. She walks well on a leash and is 90% housebroken with an occasional accident at night only until she learns how to wake you up at night to go out.
