EVERYONE AT SUNCOAST BASSET RESCUE IS A VOLUNTEER
Volunteers come in all types – foster homes, hound transport, events, house visits, public outreach, fundraising and that special someone who helps out anywhere with anything.
Volunteers can make their home available, as a Foster Home, to take in a basset from shelter or owner surrender and take care of the basset as if it was their own. Some fosters will need medical care, weight gain and lots of rest, recuperation, and love.
A volunteer can Transport a foster basset from one area of the state to another where a foster or adoptive home is available.
Our volunteers perform home visits when an adoption application has been approved by our Adoption Coordinator. The volunteer is provided with a Home Visit Form to use when visiting the prospective adoptive home to be certain all pertinent questions are asked and necessary information is reviewed with the family.
Suncoast’s Special Event Coordinators often need helping hands and minds in planning and running a special event. Events include such things as our annual Waddle, the live Auction fundraiser, parades, local fundraisers, festivals, and awareness booths at various local events.
We are always in need of volunteers – join us in making a difference in the lives of Bassets in need.
Please volunteer today!
You won’t regret it.
