Foster Home Responsibilities

1. Sign a Foster Care Agreement.

2. Provide food and shelter for your foster.

3. Submit Foster Reports, photos, and videos of your foster basset.

4. Take your foster basset for routine and emergency veterinary care, including dental work, if needed. (Suncoast Basset Rescue will reimburse any pre-approved veterinary care required for your foster.)

5. Be willing to house train and crate train your foster, if needed.

6. Notify Suncoast Basset Rescue of any health problems with your foster and be willing to work with a health problem.

7. Notify Suncoast Basset Rescue of any behavior problems and be willing to work with a behavior problem.

8. Be willing to take your foster to obedience training classes, if needed.

9. Be willing to meet with prospective adopters and provide input regarding suitability of prospective adopters.

10. Acknowledge the foster is not YOUR dog, but a Suncoast Basset rescue dog.

11. Relinquish the foster dog to the qualified adopter
