Lucy, 9 years old, and Trooper, 14 years old, are a bonded pair that came to Suncoast Basset Rescue because their family was no longer able to care for them. Both are heartworm positive and are undergoing the slow kill treatment. 

Lucy is a sweet, wonderful girl and young at heart.  She loves people, is always happy, and loves hounding in the yard with the other dogs. She loves kisses, belly rubs and treats. 

Trooper is a very good boy with a lot of love to give.  Even at 14, he has little bounce in his step when he gets excited to see his foster mom, which always makes her smile.  He loves walks and rides in the car.  But he really loves to get his belly rubbed. 

As senior hounds with heartworm, Lucy and Trooper are Forever Fosters.  They will stay with their foster family for the rest of their lives being loved, spoiled, and doted on while receiving the best in medical care provided by SBR.
